18U Midget Travel Team

The Avon Hockey 18U Midget Travel Program is designed for players competing at the highest level of youth hockey as they prepare for advanced hockey opportunities. This program is open to players ages 15 through 18 and provides a highly competitive, structured environment focused on performance, development, and exposure.

At the Midget level, athletes are expected to demonstrate strong foundational skills while continuing to refine advanced techniques and systems of play. Emphasis is placed on high-level hockey IQ, positional responsibility, game strategy, and consistency. Players are challenged to compete with intensity, execute under pressure, and contribute to a team-first culture.

The 18U program includes multiple weekly practices and a competitive game schedule, often featuring league play and tournament opportunities. This structure ensures consistent development, exposure to high-level competition, and preparation for the next stage of a player’s hockey career.

Split Season, with the primary home rink located on the campus of Avon Old Farms School. Additional practices may be scheduled at the International Skating Center of Connecticut to support team training needs.
