Appropriate players 8 years of age and younger who are interested in the game of ice hockey.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
Season begins October 14, 2023, and runs until the beginning of March 2024.
The half season starts January 6th and runs until March 3rd.

Where are practices and games typically held?
Practices are held at the AOF rink.

When are practices and how often are they?
The Developmental group practices 2 times per week. Please review the schedule on this website for specific dates and times posted at the beginning of each month.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
Practice jerseys are provided to each player during the season.
2023-2024 Developmental
Recreational Hockey for Players Ages 5 Through 8. This registration is for the Developmental program. You will be required to enter a valid USA Hockey confirmation number during the process, which will confirm that the player is registered with USA Hockey. To register with USA Hockey, please go to membership.usahockey.com.
Program Description: The program is designed to continue to help your youngster develop his/her skating skills and introduce them to the great sport of ice hockey. Our highly qualified instructors teach your child through a series of drills in a fun and energetic environment. Our program consists of skill stations where small groups are rotated through varying drills so our instructors can help anyone who needs reinforcement. The price for the full season program is $900.00. The price for the half season program is $450.00. Half season starts January 6th.
The program is set to begin on October 14 and runs through the beginning of March. Sessions will generally alternate between 7:00 am and 8:00 am on Saturdays and Sundays. Schedule will be updated throughout the season on the Avon Hockey website.
