10U Squirt Travel Teams
The Avon Hockey 2026-2027 10U Squirt Travel Program is designed to introduce players to a more competitive level of youth hockey while continuing to build strong fundamentals. At the 10U level, players further develop their skating, puck control, positioning, and teamwork through structured practices and competitive gameplay. This stage emphasizes skill progression, game awareness, and fostering a passion for the sport in a team-oriented environment.
Players in the 10U Travel Program typically participate in two practices per week and two games over the weekend, providing consistent ice time and valuable opportunities for development throughout the season.
The season runs September through March, with the primary home rink located on the campus of Avon Old Farms School. During the season, some practices may also be held at the International Skating Center of Connecticut.
Avon Hockey is committed to providing a positive, competitive, and development-focused experience that supports the growth of young athletes both on and off the ice, helping players build confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for the game.
Required 10U Ice Hockey Equipment
All players participating in the Avon Hockey 10U program are required to have the following equipment for practices and games:
- Ice Hockey Skates
- Protective Navy Blue Hockey Helmet (with full cage or face shield)
- Chest Pad / Shoulder Pads
- Elbow Pads
- Protective Undergarment
- Protective Hockey Pants (Navy Blue) or hockey pants with a Navy Blue Pant Shell
- Shin Pads
- Hockey Gloves
- Protective Neck Guard
- Official Avon Home & Away Hockey Socks
- Official Avon Home & Away Hockey Jersey
Players should ensure that all equipment fits properly and is in good condition to provide maximum protection and comfort on the ice.

2026–2027 Avon 10U Squirt Travel Team Registration
Thank you for your interest in the Avon Hockey 10U Squirt Travel Team Program. Registration costs for the 2026–2027 season are listed below
• 10U A Team: $3,400.00
• 10U A1 Team: $3,400.00
• 10U B Team: $3,400.00
• 10U C Team: $3,400.00
• 10U Part-Time Goalies: $2,900.00
• 10U Full-Time Goalies: $1,000.00 Goalie Commitment Fee is required. This fee will be fully reimbursed upon successful completion of the 2026–2027 season.
During registration, families may choose to pay the full balance or enroll in our auto-pay payment program. The auto-pay program will deduct scheduled payments from August 15, 2026 through December 15, 2026. A $350.00 commitment fee is required for all players who enroll in the auto-pay program.
The registration deadline for all players is March 25, 2026 at 10:00 PM. Rosters will close after this deadline. If you are unable to register prior to the deadline, please contact the ACFYHA Registrar at registrar@acfyha.com to request an extension.
A $100.00 late registration fee will be applied to all registrations submitted after the deadline. Proceeds from late fees will be transferred to the ACFYHA Scholarship Fund.
Please note that failure to meet financial commitments may result in your child being ineligible to participate in practices or games until the account is brought current.
